William and Patricia Youman of Terre Haute announce the marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Marie Youman, to Mark “Sonny” Thomas White II, son of Mark and Linda White of Carmel.
The couple were married on Saturday, March 29, 2014, in a small ceremony of family and friends at Flower Mountain Estates in Sevierville, Tenn. A dinner followed, hosted by the bride’s parents, at the Gatlinburg Falls Resort.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with honors in psychology. She earned a master of arts degree in school psychology in 2001 from Ball State University, and is working on her doctorate in school psychology at Ball State. She is a school psychologist with Boone-Clinton-North West Hendricks Joint Services in Lebanon and operates a home-based cake, cupcake and cake pop shop.
The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Carmel High School, a 2003 graduate of Media Tech Institute for the Recording Arts in Austin, Texas, and a 2012 graduate of the American Home Inspectors Training Institute. He also owns White’s Home Inspection, is a project manager for Johnson Complete Construction, and plays bass guitar in the Jon Strahl Band.
Elizabeth was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, William.
The maid of honor was Shelley Thompson of Overland Park, Kan., formerly of Terre Haute. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Price Rowland; Jenny White, sister-in-law of the bridegroom; and Jamie Ladd.
Best man was the bridegroom’s brother, Andrew White of Noblesville. Groomsmen were Benjamin Foster, Paul Wewetzer and Kenneth William Ryder III.
The flower girl was Lilian White, niece of the bridegroom; and ring bearer was Jack White, nephew of the bridegroom.
The couple took a wedding trip to Cosby, Tenn., and now reside in Westfield.
