Farm Progress Show Aug. 27-29 boasts expanded exhibit space

The 60th annual Farm Progress Show takes place in Decatur, Ill., Aug. 27, 28 and 29. The exhibit field is open to visitors from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday. The show includes the latest information about ag technology, the third annual Great Lakes Hybrids Farm Progress Show Shootout Tractor Pull and a country music concert, headlined by Chris Cagle.

The Farm Progress Show will offer a mix of outside lots and a tent with booths inside. The show will host more than 600 companies, nearly 100 more exhibitors than in previous years. These exhibitors span the ag spectrum and include companies such as Polaris, Roto-Mix, Merschmann Seeds and Husqvarna.

The show grounds have grown from 10 streets to 12 during the eight years the show has been in Decatur. A demand for space resulted in the creation of an Annex exhibit area outside of Gate 1 in the west parking lot, as well as adding the 12th Progress Street within the exhibit field. The new street will be paved.

Admission is $15 for adults, $8 for ages 13-17 and free for ages 12 and under. Discounted advance adult admission tickets are available now on the show’s website. For a full schedule of events and more detailed information, visit www.FarmProgressShow.com.

The tractor pull will be Aug. 26 and 27 at Macon County Fairgrounds. Full ticket information about the pull is available at Facebook.com/FPSShootout, or eTix.com.

Cagle will perform after the show on Aug. 28. Additional details are available at eTix.com.

The concert and tractor pull are separate events and separate admission tickets are needed.
