Mr. and Mrs. John Hennessy

John and Nancy (Smith) Hennessy, formerly of Terre Haute, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 30.

They were married in Union Christian Church by the Rev. Floyd K. Miller.

John graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 1972 and Indiana State University. Nancy graduated from Terre Haute North Vigo High School. They met in their youth group at Union Christian Church in 1969.

A party in their honor in the Gallatin Country Club at Gallatin, Tenn., was given by their children, grandchildren and niece: Melanie Chumbley (Lamont), Sarah Gillam (Kent), Kelly Hennessy-Pierce (Kyle), Natasha Bodie, and Megan, Bailey, Emma, Maddox and Mia. The party was attended by their family, Godwhy Church family and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Winkle

Barbara R. Snow and Charles C. Winkle will celebrate their upcoming 50th wedding anniversary with a private party.

The Winkles were married on April 28, 1963, in the Terre Haute Church of God by the Rev. Lock.

Barbara and Charles are both retired, and they have two sons, Charles C. Winkle Jr. of Cayuga and William M. Winkle; one daughter, Barbara Stephens; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
