The Wabash Valley Sewing Connection will have an auction on Monday in the Girl Scout Service Center in Fairbanks Park beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until all items are sold. Admission is free.
The auction will feature homemade items such as crafts, clothing, accessories, scarves, sweat shirts, baked goods and plants. It is conducted once a year and the members donate items to be sold. They make it, sew it, bake it and grow it.
The Sewing Connection has 91 members who meet on the third Monday of each month to share articles they have made such as doll clothes, afghans, quilts, aprons, jackets, sweaters, scarves, skirts and more. Speakers or instructors are welcomed to meetings and various trips are planned.
The group also makes items to help at hospitals, nursing homes, CODA, the Mental Health Association and veterans. Those interested in sewing and crafts are welcome to join the monthly meetings.
