CASY plans Orientation I, II trainings Feb. 4, 22

Chances and Services for Youth, or CASY, provides Orientation I training for those interested in becoming a licensed child care provider. Orientation I is part one of two trainings on opening a child care site. It is a start-up workshop for those interested in opening a Licensed Family Child Care Home, Licensed Child Care Center or Unlicensed Registered Ministry.

Participants will learn about basic health, safety and start-up requirements, plus information on the different types of child care programs in Indiana. Orientation I will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 4 in the Booker T. Washington Community Center, 1101 S. 13th St.

Orientation II training for those interested in opening a Licensed Home, Licensed Center, or Unlicensed Registered Ministry teaches about licensing regulations and what steps to take in the process. Orientation II will be available from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 22, also in the community center.
