News Release

---- — Envision a sustainable future Aug. 3 at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice

The public is invited to help create a hopeful and sustainable future for Earth by attending the “Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream” Symposium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice at St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind.

This symposium is an international movement to help all people change the dream of consumerism (the more we have the happier we are) to the dream of sustainability and mutuality. It uses video, personal reflection and group activities to bring together indigenous wisdom and modern knowledge in a transformative learning experience.

Participants can expect to find hope, inspiration and a commitment to action toward an environmentally sustainability, spiritually fulfilling, socially just presence on Earth.

White Violet Center for Eco-Justice is a ministry of the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods. It exists to foster a way of living that recognizes the interdependence of all creation. The center offers leadership and education in the preservation, restoration and reverent use of all natural resources. It is located 10 minutes northwest of Terre Haute.

Cost for the program is $35. Advance register by emailing rmorton@spsmw.org or calling 812-535-2932 or visit www.WhiteViolet.org for more information.
