Mr. and Mrs. Jim Plew

Jim and Linda (Thompson) Plew of West Terre Haute, Ind., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 31, 2014. They were married at First United Methodist Church in West Terre Haute on Jan. 31, 1964.

Jim and Linda grew up in West Terre Haute and were high school sweethearts. Jim retired from Pameco in 2007 and Linda retired from the Vigo County School Corp. in 2008. In retirement, Jim enjoys photography and volunteering at the West Vigo Community Center, and Linda spends her time finding homes for abandoned dogs and cats in Vigo County.

They are the proud parents of two children, Jim (Gwendolyn) and Sean Plew. They have three grandchildren, Camden, Callie and Carsen, who love spending time with them and their many pets.

On Jan. 25, 2014, a celebration of their 50 years of marriage took place with their family at Mogger’s Pub and Restaurant in Terre Haute, Ind.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wentz

Lee and Sharon Wentz of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 1, 2014.

They were married Feb. 1, 1964, in rural Graysville.

Lee is retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections and the U.S. Army. Sharon is a homemaker and worked several years at Founders Memorial Library, Northern Illinois University at DeKalb.

Their children and spouses are Jennifer (Ken) Syrek, Tim Wentz and David (Cassandra) Wentz. They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
