Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana offers low-income assistance

TERRE HAUTE — Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana is offering a program to help pet owners and caretakers with limited incomes and receiving public assistance an opportunity to get their pets spayed and neutered for $10, half the normal rate.

“Through our partnership with 83 vets and clinics throughout the state, we have fixed more than 70,000 animals,” said Cheri Storms, SNSI board president. “Animal shelters work tirelessly to find homes for as many pets as possible, but the real solution must include helping those who can least afford to have their pets spayed and neutered.”

The $10 surgeries are available to qualifying pet owners from July 1 to Aug. 31. The program is made possible by proceeds from the Pet Friendly license plate.

For more information and a list of participating vets, visit www.GetThemFixed.org or call 317-767-7771.
