Enter baking contest at Vigo County Fair

TERRE HAUTE — Get your entries ready for the 2013 King Arthur Flour Baking Contest at the Vigo County Fair. Entry time is noon to 2 p.m. July 8 in the Community Center (Floriculture Building) at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds. Awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m.

Purchase a bag of King Arthur Flour and bake your favorite recipe. Categories are:

• Juniors ages 8-17: Chocolate chip cookies

• Adults ages 18 and up: Coffee cake (no yeast)

Bring the open flour bag or UPC code from the flour bag; type or print the recipe on 8-by12-inch paper. Place your name, address and phone number on the back side of the recipe.

Visit the fair’s website under Open Class Exhibits for an entry form, rules, and list of awards ($370 value), or pick up an entry form and rules at the Purdue Extension-Vigo County Office, 275 Ohio St.
