CASY to host Orientation I, II training in December

Chances and Services for Youth provides Orientation I training for those interested in becoming a licensed child care provider. Orientation I is part one of two trainings on opening a child care site. It is a start-up workshop for those interested in opening a Licensed Family Child Care Home, Licensed Child Care Center or Unlicensed Registered Ministry.

Participants will learn about basic health, safety and start-up requirements, plus information on the different types of child care programs in Indiana. Orientation I will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Booker T. Washington Community Center, 1101 S. 13th St.

Orientation II training is on licensing regulations and what steps to take in the process. Orientation II will be available from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at the community center.
