Program helps with spaying/neutering

Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana is sponsoring a low-cost spay/neuter program to benefit local pet owners.

The Spay-Neuter Assistance Program will allow people who are on certain government assistance programs, such as Food Stamps, Medicaid, SSD, WIC and public school free lunch program to have their pets spayed or neutered for $20.

The program was recently expanded to include residents who make less than $22,340 annually.

The program is state-wide and the surgeries are done through participating veterinary clinics. For an application, visit or call 317-767-7771.
