Mr. and Mrs. Richard Burchell Sr.
Dick and Ann Burchell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, July 27, 2008 with an open house at their home, 13575 Rio Grande, Brazil, between the hours of 2 to 6 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to come with a memory or picture to share, no gifts please.
The Burchells were married on June 15, 1958, at the First E.U.B. Church, 14th and Chestnut streets, by Revs. Phillip Stone and Albert Howard.
Mr. Burchell is formerly of Galesburg, Ill., and is now retired from Burchell’s Construction Company. Mrs. Burchell, formerly Ann Atlogic, is a Family Service Advisor at Roselawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
They have four children, Rachel Hunter of Orange Park, Fla., Renee Bose, Rick Burchell, and Ruth French of Terre Haute. They also have 11 grandchildren. Dick and Ann are very thankful for the many special people in their lives.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Schuster
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Schuster observed their 50th anniversary on Monday, June 14, 2008.
The Schusters were married June 14, 1958, in the Maple Avenue Christian Church in Terre Haute by the Rev. Neil Kuhns.
Mrs. Schuster is the former Virginia Jones.
The Schusters are both retired from the Vigo County School Corp.
The couple have two children, Lee Ann Wells and Greg Schuster. They also have three grandchildren, Jared Wells and Alec and Sydney Schuster.
An anniversary celebration co-hosted by their children is planned for Saturday, July 26, in the MCL Banquet Center. There will be a dinner by invitation only, followed by a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Cards are welcome.
Mr. and Mrs. William A. Dando
Mr. and Mrs. William A. Dando will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner on Saturday, July 26, 2008, in the fellowship hall of Centenary United Methodist Church in Terre Haute.
The couple was married July 19, 1958, in Star Junction Methodist Church in Star Junction, Pa., by the Rev. William Morris.
Mrs. Dando, the former Caroline Zaporowsky, was a lecturer of Russian language in the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Linguistics at Indiana State University before her retirement in 2002.
Dando was chairman and professor of geography for the Department of Geography, Geology and Anthropology at ISU before retiring in 2002.
The couple have three children, Christina Dando and husband Ty Sabin of Omaha, Neb., Lara Dando and husband Gregory Vanderberg of Grand Forks, N.D., and William Dando II and wife Cheryl of Golden Valley, Minn. They also have four grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Allen Beaver
Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Allen Beaver of Fairbanks, Ind., will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary and renew their vows during a 4 p.m. ceremony Saturday, July 26, 2008, in Shelburn Church of God in Shelburn.
A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
Friends and relatives are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted.
The Beavers were married July 30, 1982, in Fairbanks.
Mrs. Beaver is the former Sherri Lynn Tuttle.
The couple have two children, Brianna and Brett Beaver.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rothrock
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rothrock will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at 3 p.m. today, July 20, 2008, in Traditions at Brazil.
Friends and relatives are invited. Music by Footloose Sound Systems will begin at 4.
It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards and written memories are welcome and may be sent to 1502 N. Meridian St., Brazil, IN 47834.
Mrs. Rothrock, the former Rita Patrick, served eight years as Clay County Circuit Court clerk and currently serves on the Clay County Council.
Rothrock retired in 1988 from the Pillsbury Co.
The couple have five children, Linda Cesinger and husband Bill, Jeff Rothrock and wife Tammy, Rob Rothrock and wife Sherry, Tom Rothrock and wife Cindy, and the late Michael Rothrock. They also have 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
