Library seeks teen artwork

TERRE HAUTE — Teens are invited to submit works of art to be displayed on the walls outside the meeting rooms or on tops of shelves in the Young People’s Department at the Vigo County Public Library from June through August.

Any type of artwork is permitted and the event is not a contest.

Submit drawings, paintings, cartoons sculpture or photographs.

Here’s what to do:

• Put your first name only on the front of your artwork. Put your full name & phone number on the back of each item that you want back.

• Bring your items to the Young People’s Department; do not post on the walls yourself.

• Please pick up your artwork between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31.

Any artwork not picked up by Aug. 31 will be discarded.

Rules:

• All artwork must be original by the teen submitting it.

• All artwork should be “school appropriate.” The Young People’s staff has sole discretion over what will and will not be allowed for public display.

• Copyrighted images cannot be included in your work.
