Ruth Wilkey of Paris, Ill., formerly of Brocton, will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the 4-H Community Building on East Elliot Street in Paris.
Her family requests that gifts be omitted, however cards would be appreciated.
She was born June 21, 1929, in Clark County, to Otis and Clara Williams. She married David Wilkey in 1956. He is deceased.
Ruth is the mother of one son, Mike (Donna) of Brocton, and three daughters, Susan (Frank) Vail of Kansas, Sandra (Dave) Woolard of Paris, and Carolyn (Duane) Jenkins of Terre Haute.
She has eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
