Business, professional women convention set for this weekend

The Indiana Business and Professional Women’s Organization’s state convention will be Friday through Sunday in the Adam’s Mark Hotel Indianapolis Airport.
Registration is required for members attending any event of the convention, while a BPW name badge serves as admission to all activities. Families are invited and are welcome to attend any non-ticketed event free of charge. A special reduced registration fee is available to first-time attendees.
Friday will consist of Individual Development workshop sessions; registration and credentials; vendor sales and a “King/Queen for a Day” candidates campaigns.
Saturday morning will start with a hospitality breakfast and Young Careerist and Individual Development speeches.
At the luncheon, Indiana BPW Foundation 8th Grade Essay Contest winners will be introduced and winning speeches read; awards presented to individuals and locals for their accomplishments in 2007-08; and keynote speaker Judy O’Bannon presented.
Sunday morning will start with an ecumenical service, followed by breakfast and door-prize drawings. A business session, from 10 a.m. to noon, will close the convention.
