Sisters of Providence offer discussion on coping with current issues
Special to the Tribune-Star
Stressed about the struggling economy? Worried about your job? Having trouble with mortgage payments? Are daily decisions becoming more difficult?
The Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods will offer a free discussion open to the public Thursday in the Providence Center lobby. “Spring into Hope: Ways to Cope With Current Issues and Crises” is a presentation that may help provide answers to some of today’s difficult questions about job, home and family security.
The program is 7-8:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Presenters include John Perry, senior vice president of Terre Haute Savings Bank; Megan Miller, director of operations for Providence Housing Corp.; Margaret Pabst, a local psychologist; and Brother Barry Donaghue, CFC, director of Providence Center.
Perry will speak about consumer finance issues; Miller will talk about housing choices and approaches to take if people are in danger of losing their homes; Pabst will offer information about the family structure and how to handle difficult questions in uncertain times, and Donaghue will sum up the program with discussion about where God’s presence is in all this turmoil.
Each presentation will be about 15 minutes in length, with time for questions. No reservations are necessary. This program is open to people of all faith traditions.
Individuals and families looking for information and resources for assistance would especially benefit by participating in this program.
