LTC has audition materials available for production of ‘Les Miserables’

Audition materials for Lincoln Trail College’s spring production of “Les Miserables” are now available in the college’s Performing Arts Office in Robinson, Ill.

This renowned musical tells the Victor Hugo story of a paroled convict and his journey in post-revolutionary France. Featured songs include “I Dreamed a Dream,” “Master of the House,” “On My Own,” “Bring Him Home” and “At the End of the Day.”

Auditions will be conducted in four separate sessions in the Zwermann Arts Center Theater. Children interested in the roles of Young Cosette, Young Eponine and Gavroche will audition at 6 p.m. Jan. 15. Young Cosette and Eponine should be between 5 and 10 years old. Actors interested in Gavroche should have an unchanged voice.

Advance auditions, for those unable to attend one of the main evening sessions, will be at 3 p.m. Jan. 19.

The main auditions for lead and company roles will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 21 and 22. Actors should attend only one session. Callbacks are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 23.

There are 11 major roles and as many as 55 solo parts for company members who may sing more than one role. Audition vocal cuttings are available in the Performing Arts Office, at, and on the LTC Theater Facebook page,

“Les Miserables” will be presented March 28, 29 and 30 and April 4, 5 and 6. The program will be under the direction of Barbara Shimer, with musical direction by Sandra Nichols and Jeshua Franklin.
