EVANSVILLE — Despite getting a career-high 24 points from senior forward Austin Lewis, Terre Haute North lost to Class 4A No. 4-ranked Evansville Harrison 65-48 in boys high school basketball Saturday night.

Lewis tallied 13 of his points in the first half and finished 10 of 13 from the field, but no other Patriot scored in double figures.

For Evansville Harrison, brothers Stanley Duncan and Ernie Duncan poured in 16 and 14 points respectively and Deniko Scott added 11 points and a team-high six rebounds.

Ernie Duncan had eight of his points in the third period when the Warriors outscored North 20-9.

“I thought we played an excellent first half, defended well,” North coach Todd Woelfle assessed afterward. “We felt good going into halftime.

“In the third quarter, they went on a little run [outscoring North 20-9] and we weren’t able to respond. They killed us on the boards and got to the free-throw line in the second and that was the difference.”
