METRO ROUNDUP: South swim teams 8th at Hall of Fame Classic

Tribune-Star staff report
----

FRANKLIN — Terre Haute South swimmers placed eighth in both boys and girls competition Saturday at the Indiana High School Hall of Fame Classic, although there was a catch involved.

South divers were unable to participate — their bus broke down on its way to the meet — which probably cost the South boys a place or two.

Chandler Bray had a solid freshman debut for South’s boys, placing second in the 200 breaststroke and third in both 200 backstroke and 50 breaststroke. Dalton Mitchell was third in the 100 individual medley.

Grace Padget led the South girls with a third-place finish in the 200 backstroke and a fourth-place showing in the 50 backstroke. Katherine Senseman was fifth in the 50 freestyle.
