TERRE HAUTE — Indiana State’s women’s soccer team fell to Butler, 3-0 Sunday at Memorial Stadium.

ISU had won two exhibition matches and defeated Georgia Southern in extra time on Friday, and through most of the first period Sunday, the match with Butler remained scoreless.

Butler’s Elise Kotsakis scored from 35 yards out with 57 seconds left before intermission, however, and the Bulldogs added second-period goals in the 58th minute and the 79th minute.

ISU goalkeeper Brittany San Roman was busy, making 10 saves as the Bulldogs outshot ISU 18-7 and had 13 shots on goal to ISU’s four. Sydney Lovelace and Taylor Reed had two shots each for ISU.

Now 1-1, the Sycamores play next Sunday at Western Kentucky. Butler is also 1-1.
