Metro roundup: Seniors Berry, VanSchoyck selected IFCA All-State

TERRE HAUTE — Seniors Junior Berry, a defensive lineman from Terre Haute South, and Chase VanSchoyck, a running back from North Central, were named to the Indiana Football Coaches Association’s All-State Team, according to an announcement this week.

Selected Class 5A Senior All-State were Berry and wide receiver Jacob Johnson of Terre Haute South and running back Ricky Brookins, offensive lineman Lucas Comer and linebacker Wyatt Stoelting of Terre Haute North, while kicker Zach Potter and linebacker Trey Grim of North and defensive back Timmy Herrin of South were picked for the Class 5A Junior All-State squad.

Other Wabash Valley players honored were tight end Jake Kinnaman and wide receiver Michael Hutchcraft of Sullivan on the Class 2A Senior All-State team; running back Zane Hayden and linebacker Cody VanWinkle of Linton, offensive lineman Alec Copeland of North Central and offensive lineman Ethan Kunkle, defensive lineman Robbie Davis and defensive back Brayden Woodard of North Vermillion on the Class A Senior All-State team; and defensive lineman Zach Johnson of Linton on the Class A Junior All-State team.
