Prep roundup: North girls tennis beats ranked teams




Terre Haute North 5, Bloomington North 4 — At Bloomington, junior Mallory Nease bashed a solo home run to center field in the top of the ninth inning — her first varsity roundtripper ever — and Terre Haute North held on to its lead to edge the host school.

Also for the Patriots, Ryleigh Scott went 3 for 5 with a pair of stolen bases, Makayla Irish went 2 for 3 with a double and two runs batted in and Allison Crick went the distance to pick up the pitching victory.
