PREP ROUNDUP: West Vigo softball clinches share of WIC title

TERRE HAUTE — West Vigo clinched at least a share of the Western Indiana Conference softball title with a 6-4 victory over Edgewood on Tuesday.

Jacy McClain and Bailee Waters had RBI singles in the fourth inning to break the game open for the Vikings.

West Vigo improved to 5-1 in the WIC with the victory. The Vikings are 12-2 overall.

Highlights — For West Vigo, Shelby Edington was 2-for-4 with a double; Ciara McClain had a double, Jacy McClain ws 2-for-3 with 2 runs; and Bailee Waters had an RBI single.

• South Vermillion 5, Rockville 2 — At Clinton, Daphne Dunegan got the win for the Wildcats in a nonconference game.
