BUIES CREEK, N.C. —
The Indiana State volleyball team rallied in the fifth set to defeat the Georgetown Hoyas 3-2 in the opening game of the 2013 Campbell Hampton Inn of Holly Springs Invitational.
Indiana State (3-1) was slated to take on the host Campbell Camels late Friday night. The Sycamores will wrap up tournament action at 11 a.m. EDT today against the North Carolina Central Eagles. NC Central and Campbell are playing the second game today which started at 3 p.m.
Senior Morgan Dall became the 11th member of the 1,000 career kill with her 22nd kill of the game which came in the fifth set. She now has 1,001 kills, and could move into the top 10 this weekend.

In other volleyball action:
n Rose-Hulman falls — Greenville College earned three close set victories to top Rose-Hulman 25-22, 28-26, 25-21 at Hulbert Arena during the Engineers’ home opener on Friday night.
Corinne Coon led Greenville with 21 kills, Ellen Lueking had 36 assists, and Jamie Schollenbruch added 26 digs to lead the Panthers attack.
For Rose-Hulman, sophomore Sarah Jensen led the offense with 11 kills and 15 assists. Senior Casey Levitt added 10 kills and 16 digs.
The Engineers stand 2-4 on the season and return to action at the Rose-Hulman Invitational on today and Sunday. Rose-Hulman faces Webster and Ohio Wesleyan today at 4 p.m., and will battle Muskingum and Kenyon on Sunday at 10 a.m.
n ISU wins — Senior midfielder Taylor Reed tied the ISU school record with two goals as the Indiana State soccer team defeated Green Bay 4-0 Friday at Memorial Stadium as part of Bark in the Park Night.
The Sycamores are 2-2 and will return to action Sunday when they travel to face the Cougars of SIU Edwardsville at 2 p.m.
