PREP ROUNDUP: North tennis beaten by No. 12 Jeffersonville

JASPER — Terre Haute North lost to No. 12-ranked Jeffersonville 5-0 on the first day of the Jasper Invitational boys high school tennis tournament Friday.

North (1-2) will continue tourney action today with matches against Castle at 9 a.m. and Jasper at noon.

Jeffersonville 5, Terre Haute North 0

Singles — Austin Hunt (J) def. Andrew Farmer 6-2, 6-2; Sam Coward (J) def. Grant Potts 6-0, 6-1; Brock Winchell (J) def. Harry Williams 6-1, 6-1.

Doubles — Chase Kayrouz-Jack Reilly (J) def. Keaton Akers-Justin Newton 6-4, 7-6; Justin Padgett-Kooper Falkenstein (J) def. Luke Dugger-Lucas Davis 6-1, 7-5.

JV — Jeffersonville won 4-1.

Next — North (1-2) will continue tourney action today with matches against Castle at 9 a.m. and Jasper at noon.
