Auto racing: Short wins sprint feature at Lincoln Park Speedway

Brady Short was a feature winner on Saturday at Lincoln Park Speedway.

Short won his heat and outraced other USAC drivers to win the main event for sprint cars. Other winners were Tim Wright and Josh Settles in bombers, Roy Bruce Jr. in modifieds and Tyler Cain in super stocks.

Heat winners —  Tim Wright, Josh Settles, C.J. Bryan.

• Outlaws on track — At Haubstadt, Paul McMahan won the feature for World of Outlaws sprint car drivers on Saturday at Tri-State Speedway.

Levi Kissinger won the feature for modifieds.

Heat winners — David Gravel, Daryn Pittman, Joey Saldana, Steve Kinser (dash), Joey Moughan (B-main).

Feature — Paul McMahan, Kinser, Kerry Madsen, Gravel, Saldana, Donny Schatz, Brady Bacon, Brad Sweet, Kraig Kinser, Jason Sides, Cody Darrah, Paul May, Critter Malone, Danny Smith, Pittman.

• Bell a winner — At Belleville, Ill.. Christopher Bell won the feature race in U.S. Auto Club midget racing on Saturday.

Bell led the final 18 turns to win the 40-lap main with Bryan Clauson second and Rico Abreu third. Abreu has the lead in the midget totals going into the Night Before 500 action at Lucas Oil Raceway.
