Late score lifts South Vermillion over Northview

CLINTON — South Vermillion knocked off Northview for the first time since a 35-20 win in 2001 with a 14-13 high school football victory Friday night.

Jordan Branz led the homecoming triumph for the Wildcats with both touchdowns on short runs. He threw to Del Dunegan for the fame-winning 2-point conversion in the fourth quarter.

Dunegan iced the game with an interception deep in Wildcat territory at the 25-yard line with 3:36 left.

Tucker Stewart scored a TD for the Knights and connected with Tyler Rector for a 38-yard score.
