Prep roundup: Rockville rallies for overtime victory over Riverton Parke

MECCA — Kyle Paddock pumped in 14 points, Keiontre’ Wilkey tallied 12 and Dalton Laney added 10 as Rockville spoiled Riverton Parke’s overtime with a 50-48 overtime victory in Wabash River Conference boys high school basketball Friday night.

For the host Panthers, Luther Mathas barely missed a 3-pointer at the overtime buzzer that would have won the game. Tanner Edge paced Riverton Parke with 17 points.

Rockville trailed by as many as 11 points in the fourth quarter before rallying to force OT.

• Linton 80, Eastern Greene 62 — At Linton, the host Miners overcame the absence of a starter thanks to a career-high 22 points from Beau Eaton in remaining unbeaten in SouthWestern Indiana Athletic Conference play.

Eaton started in place of sophomore Joe Dieball, who had a slight injury against Union earlier in the week, and provided a nice complement to the game-high 23 points by Bryant Jackson.

Briar Martindale had 16 points, Jeffery Graham 14 and Cam Creager 10 for the Thunderbirds.

• South Vermillion 66, Turkey Run 46 — At Marshall, Ind., Jordan Branz had a game-high 23 points as the visiting Wildcats pulled away in the fourth quarter of a nonconference game.

D.J. McMasters added 17 points and Dru Strayer 11 for South Vermillion, while Jake Amstutz led the Warriors with 11.
