MARTINSVILLE, Ill. —
Twelve heats were run on Tuesday’s harness racing card at the Martinsville Agricultural Fair, the first of three days on the half-mile track.
Madoff won the feature race of the day, besting top competition in 3-year-old pace action. Owned, trained and driven by Randall Finn, the pacer had won three straight races in times of 1 minute, 52 seconds or better.
Madoff was second to NJ’s Big Deal after the first turn around the track but ended up a clearcut winner in 1:57 to win for the 18th time and extend its winning streak to five this season.
Madoff set a half-mile track record of 56.3 seconds.
Randall Finn is the winningest active driver in county fair racing.
Fox Valley Sienna was the winner in the second race of the day and the 6-year-old trotter tied the old half-mile mark of 58.2 seconds in winning for the 16th time in its career.
Matt Avenatti was the driver and got his first win.
Three-year-old filly trotter Sherry’s Band won its heat. Owned, trained and driven by Freddie Patton Jr., Sherry’s Band tied for the most dash wins in 2012 fair races while Patton was the champion driver on the fair circuit.
Party Princess, owned, trained and driven by Kelcey Perymond, won the final race of the day for 3-year-old filly pacers and now has won nine times with earnings of better than $20,000.

• Walters posts win — Chris Walters won the feature race in weekend racing at Crossroads Dragway.
Walters bested Steve Conrad to win the Bernie Mann Memorial No-Box Classic in racing changed from Saturday to Sunday due to rain. Kassie Wilson won a Pink Ladies race on Friday.
Fun Night runs are slated for Friday with a concert by Macdaddys concert and test and tune. Regular racing is set for Saturday with the rescheduled Fast 33 @ the 330 race and National Dragster Challenge for the Wally. Time runs are at 12:30 p.m.
