PREP ROUNDUP: Rockville advances to Banks championship

MARSHALL, IND. — Rockville advanced to the Banks of the Wabash championship game on Friday after it defeated Turkey Run 4-2.

The Rox will play North Vermillion in the championship. The Falcons defeated Riverton Parke 7-3 on Friday.

Tyler Rapp had two RBI for the victorious Rox.

Highlights — For Turkey Run, Jeff Girdler was 1-for-3 with a run; Jeff Woods had a run; Noah Nevins had 2 RBI. For Rockville, Tyler Rapp had 2 RBI; and Ben Cunningham was 2-for-4.

Next — Turkey Run (0-2, 0-1 WRC) plays Riverton Parke at 10 a.m. North Vermillion plays Rockville at Turkey Run.

-- Shakamak 11, North Daviess 1 — At Jasonville, Class A No. 2-ranked Shakamak got two hits apiece from Brodie Crowe, Luke Sweet and Christian Burris in posting the six-inning victory.

Next — Shakamak (3-1) will be at home today to take on Eminence.

-- Clay City 7, Cloverdale 4 — At Clay City, a four-run third inning carried the day for the Eels as they improved to 3-0.
