Prep roundup: Terre Haute South boys tennis cruises to victory at Sullivan

Sullivan —
Terre Haute South lost just three games as they easily blanked Sullivan 5-0 in a boys high school tennis match played at Sullivan City Park on Thursday.
South singles players Tyler Howe (No. 2), Eric Fair (No. 3) and No. 1 doubles Raymond Montgomery and Cameron Crawford did not lose a game.

Singles — Torey Fox (THS) def. Matthew Sheffler 6-3, 6-0; Tyler Howe (THS) def. Ryan Arnett 6-0, 6-0; Eric Fair (THS) def. Danny Lighthizer 6-0, 6-0.
Doubles — Raymond Montgomery-Cameron Crawford (THS) def. Miles Thompson-Matthew Migliorini 6-0, 6-0; THS won No. 2 due to forfeit of position.

n Patriots dominate — At Sullivan, 22nd-ranked Terre Haute North had 10 girls among the top 15 and the eighth-ranked Patriot boys team had eight runners in the top 15 of an unscored meet to christen Sullivan’s new course.
Lindy Jones of North and Nathan Westfall of Vincennes Rivet were individual winners. Freshman Tyeson Mundy led North’s boys pack with a fifth-place finish.

• Warriors fall to Shoes — At Teutopolis, Ill., the visiting Warriors were defeated 182-198 by Teutopolis in a boys match at the Cardinal Golf Course.
Casey dropped to 1-4 on the season.
