---- — Carlton Martin has graduated with a juris doctorate degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Carlton is an Indiana Conference of Legal Education Fellow, and he also earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2009. Carlton is the son of Terre Haute residents, Charles A. Martin and Linda K. Martin.

Commencement was on May 11 at the Indiana Convention Center, with a reception immediately following at the law school.


Wabash Valley native Adam Austin was awarded a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lipscomb University at the end of the spring semester 2013.

Austin, a Terre Haute South Vigo High School graduate, studied marketing and has completed all the credits necessary to graduate. Lipscomb University offers a complete liberal arts education that integrates Christian faith.


Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Ill., announces its Honors List for Spring Semester 2013. To be eligible for the CEO’s Honors List, a student must have a GPA of 3.90 to 4.0 based on a 4.0 scale and must have been enrolled in at least 12 semester hours. Students on the CEO’s list include:  

• Palestine: Collin Knoblett.

To be eligible for the President’s Honors List, the student must earn a GPA of 3.75 to 3.89 on a 4.0 scale and must have been enrolled in at least 12 hours. Students on the Presidents Honors List include:

• Robinson: Jessica Nidey, Zeth Poettker.


Neil Francis David, son of Jose F. David and Eleanor S. David, of Terre Haute, graduated in May from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry. Dr. David plans to join a practice in St. Louis.

In 2003 he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He has been a member of AOSA since 2009, and was a member of NOSA from 2009 to 2012, SUOSH from 2009 to 2011, and BSK from 2012 to 2013.
