Kristen Corinne Walton, daughter of Mary and Francis Walton of Farmersburg, graduated on Dec. 22 from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis with the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.
Walton graduated as valedictorian of her class with highest honors, summa cum laude and honored by Who’s Who Among Students. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Indiana State University in Terre Haute and completed her pre-medical coursework at Butler University in Indianapolis. During her time at Logan, Walton also earned a bachelor’s degree in life science. She is certified as an internal health specialist through Logan and also has certification in modern and classical basic acupuncture.
At Logan, Walton completed five years of study including 302 credit hours, equivalent to 5,160 class hours. She was an active member of the Student American Chiropractic Association. The Doctor of Chiropractic curriculum encompasses basic and clinical (diagnostic) sciences, nutrition, chiropractic science, research and patient care.
Lara A. Long, daughter of Dale and Cheryl Long of Terre Haute, has been named to the Ohio Northern University deans’ list for the fall semester 2012-13. She is a fifth-year pharmacy major.
Savanna Richardson of Terre Haute was named to the Dean’s List at North Central College in Naperville, Ill., for the 2012 fall term. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, undergraduate students must maintain a grade-point average of 3.6 (out of 4.0) for the term and be enrolled as full-time students.
Founded in 1861, North Central College is an independent, comprehensive college of the liberal arts and sciences that offers more than 55 undergraduate majors and graduate programming in seven areas.
