Emily J. Craig, Kristy C. Kash, Jacqueline M. Rennier and Erica A. Thompson, all of Marshall, Ill.; and Megan N. Marrs, Audre E. Sallee, Megan M. Thompson and Stephanie L. Vullo, all of Paris, Ill., made the Fall 2006 Dean’s list of Eastern Illinois University.

Staci Rogers, a biology major and chemistry minor from Terre Haute, made the Fall 2006 Dean’s list of Indiana University. She graduated from Terre Haute South High School in 2003. She is the daughter of Sandy and Jim Higham of Terre Haute and Harry and Jenine Rogers of Chicago. She is the granddaughter of Bruce Wertz and the late Diane Wertz and Helen Rogers and the late Harry “Bud” Rogers, all of Terre Haute.

Victoria Watts, a music performance-voice major, and Nathan Forker, a biology major, both Terre Haute North Vigo High School graduates, performed with Millikin University Choir at the conference of the American Choral Directors Association on March 7-10 in Miami.

Ann Soliday, a seventh-grader in North Central Jr. Sr. High School in Farmersburg, has been recognized as a United States National Honor Student Award winner. She is the daughter of Paul and Pat Soliday of Farmersburg and the granddaughter of Donna Claire of Terre Haute and Paul Soliday of Valparaiso. She is with Jr. Beta and played two sports while keeping her grades up.

Jamie Rehmel, a psychology major from Farmersburg, made the Fall Provost’s list of Lipscomb University.

Matt O’Neal, a 2002 graduate of South Vigo High School, has been designated a Big Ten Scholar-Athlete in Football for the 2006-2007 school year at Indiana University.

Indiana State University student Amanda Chapman is the recipient of the Ivah Rhyan Memorial Scholarship. She is a sophomore dietetics major and aspires to be a registered dietitian in a children’s hospital upon graduation.
Chapman works in Union Hospital in the nutrition department and has been honored with the Indiana Top Scholars scholarship and FCS Diamond Anniversary scholarship. She also teaches and takes dance classes from Teresa’s School of Dance. Other activities include: the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Phi Upsilon Omicron Honor Society and Rotaract Club at ISU. Chapman is a graduate of West Vigo High School.
Indiana State University student Courtney O’Brien of Terre Haute is the recipient of the Family and Consumer Sciences Diamond Anniversary scholarship from ISU. She is a human development and family studies major and aspires to be a child life specialist after obtaining a master’s degree in business.
O’Brien is active in Phi Upsilon Omicron and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School.
