Sixteen seniors in the honors humanities class at Riverton Parke High School spent Jan. 23 at both the Swope Art Museum and the Indiana State University Art Gallery as part of their “Man and Society” studies.
English and history teacher Michael Lunsford instructs the class.
At the Swope, the students studied the works of such American masters as Edward Hopper, Thomas Hart Benton and Grant Wood. The ISU Gallery offered the work of six photographers collected in an exhibit called “In and Out of Place.”
The class would like to thank Mary Lou Jennings of the Swope Museum and Melissa Vandenberg of the ISU Gallery for helping organize the trip.
