Rose-Hulman vs. Kalamazoo

TERRE HAUTE — The matchup — The Rose-Hulman Engineers (0-1) will take on the Kalamazoo Hornets (1-1) in a non-conference football game played at Western Michigan University.

Kickoff — 7 p.m. today.

Site — Waldo Stadium, Kalamazoo, Mich.

The coaches — Jeff Sokol is 0-1 in his first season at Rose, while Jamie Zorbo is 10-22 in his fourth year at Kalamazoo.

Last season — Rose-Hulman 6-4, Kalamazoo 3-7.

Last week — Rose had a bye and Kalamazoo lost at Manchester 26-17.

The series — Kalamazoo leads 3-2, although Rose-Hulman won their last encounter 41-17 in September 2010 at Cook Stadium.

Next game — Rose will begin the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference portion of its schedule when it plays host to Hanover at 2 p.m. Sept. 24. Kalamazoo will play host to Benedictine that same day.
