Rose-Hulman defeats Earlham 8-1

TERRE HAUTE — Rose-Hulman improved its records to 8-2 overall and 6-1 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with an 8-1 victory over Earlham in women’s tennis Wednesday.

Winners in singles and doubles play for Rose included sophomore Marie Stettler at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles; sophomore Paige Cook — of Terre Haute — at No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles; and freshman Kylie McCollum at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.

Sophomore Lauren Reberger, a Northview High School graduate, teamed with McCollum at No. 3 doubles.

The Engineers will return to action Saturday at Manchester.

Doubles — Softness-Olivia Engle (EC) def. Sackett-Montgomery 8-4; Stettler-Cook (R-H) def. Bailey Hall-Berner-Tobin 8-2; McCollum-Lauren Reberger (R-H) def. Davis-Vladimirova 8-1.
