Plattsburgh State’s 3-pointer at buzzer sinks Rose women

Plattsburgh State University buried a three-point shot at the buzzer to claim a 53-52 women’s basketball victory over Rose-Hulman at the Grand Canyon Classic on Monday.
The Cardinals rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to earn their third win of the season. Junior Shayna Banet paced the Rose offense with 15 points.
Rose rallied from a nine-point first half deficit to close within 24-23 at the break. The Fightin’ Engineers continued the charge to gain a 10-point second-half advantage.
Senior Liz Ridgway added 12 points for the Engineers. Sophomore Donna Marsh pitched in eight points for Rose.
Plattsburgh State improved to 3-4 on the season with the victory, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 3-6 overall. The Engineers return to action against Lake Forest College in the final game of the Grand Canyon Classic in Phoenix today.
