The winning streak continues.
Terre Haute took its fourth straight in Prospect League play, coming from behind for a 3-2 victory at Dubois County.
The Rex scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to erase a 2-0 deficit.
First baseman John Loeffler smashed a double down the right-field line to score Chris Manning and Brett Teschner.
Loeffler reached third on an error on the relay throw and scored on a sacrifice fly by Joe Meggs.
“I’ll take the wins the way we’re getting them. We’ve got a lot of fight in us. That’s a good sign,” manager Brian Dorsett said.
Rex starter Cody Wren faced off against Indiana State southpaw Sean Manea, who struck out eight in seven shutout innings.
Nick Cunningham came on for the save.
Catcher Chace Mitchell left the game early on after getting hit in the hand with a foul ball.
“We got him out to get ice on it. I think he’s going to be OK. We’ll check him out [today],” Dorsett said.
The Rex (6-7) play host to Dubois County tonight at Warn Field.
