TERRE HAUTE — St. Mark United Church of Christ

St. Mark United Church of Christ, 475 S. Fruitridge Ave., in Terre Haute, will be having an indoor rummage sale in their Omega Hall on Saturday Sept. 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food and drinks will also be available at the sale. No matter what the weather, the sale will be dry and air conditioned.

You are also invited to attend Sunday worship at St. Mark United Church of Christ at 9:30 am. Rev. Teresa Higus will be preaching.

We have two adult Sunday school classes, a teen class, an elementary class and a pre-school class that meets Sunday morning at 10:45. A second adult Bible Study class on the book of Acts is offered on Monday at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

On Wednesdays during the day our Sewing Gals meet from 9-2. All are welcome to join any of these events-membership not required.

St. Stephen’s Episcopal

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 215 N. 7th St. (at the corner of Eagle St.) worship at 8 and 10 a.m. each Sunday morning. All who wish to worship God in the beauty of holiness are welcome; those who have been baptized and admitted to Communion in any denomination are welcome to receive Communion.

Coffee and conversation follow both services.

Sunday, Sept. 9 is Signup Sunday at St. Stephen’s. Members of the parish signup to participate church activities such as the parish choir and volunteering at the Salvation Army Food Pantry.

Saturday, Sept. 15 is Pumpkin Fest in the church garden on 7th Street. Homemade pumpkin bread and other baked goods and pumpkin-themed and fall crafts will be on sale to the public.

The Rev. Joseph H. Chillington is St. Stephen’s Rector. The parish office is open Tuesday through Friday from noon until 4 p.m.
