Saint’s Home Church of God in Christ extends an invitation to the public to join us in a Pre-Anniversary Service for Bishop Mark H. and Mother Dorothy M.O. Blade to celebrate 51 years of Pastoral Service.
Our guest speaker will be Superintendent George Anderson, Pastor of Brighter Day Church of God in Christ, Jeffersonville, Indiana. The service will be Saturday Sept. 8, 2012 and will begin at 7:30. Mount Pleasant United Methodist

Our south campus, located at 3050 East Davis Drive, offers Sunday morning worship services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. with Sunday school classes 10 a.m. Our north campus, located at 1075 North Fruitridge Ave., offers Sunday school at 9a.m. with the worship service following at 10 a.m. Both host Holy Communion the first Sunday of the month.
Try one of our small groups or various Bible studies available throughout the week. Music and arts opportunities at our campuses include praise band, choir, hand bell choir and drama team.
We also offer the Upward basketball, cheerleading and soccer programs during the fall and winter. Upward participants are children in kindergarten through eighth grade. We have a Special Needs league, too.
South campus activities
An evening service called “6:35” is held on the second Sunday of each month beginning at 6:35 p.m. It is an intergenerational worship experience featuring praise, prayer and a message while incorporating elements of drama, dance and art.
Lifeline, our ministry for youth grades 6th through seniors, meets Sundays at 9:50 a.m.-10:40 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. -6:30 p.m. and also on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. X-Treme Tweenz is a group for all fifth graders that meets at 4:30 p.m. every other Sunday.
Boost, our Wednesday midweek gathering, starts with dinner at 5:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Center and classes for all ages at begin at 6:30 p.m. We host sessions twice a year. Our fall session runs through Oct. 24.
To start the work week, every Monday a prayer meeting is at 6 p.m. in the Chapel. Celebrate Recovery, a Christ-centered recovery program from hurts, habits and hang-ups, meets every Friday at 7 p.m. in the Wide Eye Cafe. Other groups include the Lunch Bunch (women), Yarn Spinners and Men’s Fellowship Group.
Two Southern Gospel groups are on the schedule. The Pfiefers return to Mt. Pleasant on Oct. 4 with the concert beginning at 7 p.m. and on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. Ernie Couch and Revival will perform.
North campus activities
Mom2Mom meets the third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. with childcare provided. This group is ideal for making new friends and sharing parenting tips and ideas. Outings for moms and children will be planned.
The Noodle Club meets Monday at 9: a.m. This group is famous for its delicious pasta. Come join the group to hone in on your cooking skills. Our Care Group meets Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. to help spread Christ’s message to our shut-ins and newcomers. If you enjoy crafts, come on the first Saturday of each month at 10a.m. for Christian fellowship during origami and card making.
