Church welcomes southern gospel quartet Union Street

BRAZIL — The southern gospel quartet Union Street from Evansville will perform at 6 p.m. March 16 in First Christian Church at 1875 W. U.S. 40 in Brazil. Admission is free, but a love offering will be accepted.

The group consists of tenor Toby Hitchcock, lead vocal Ryan Seaton, baritone Andrew Goldman and bass vocal Aaron McCune.

According to the Union Street website, the quartet was put together to perform during a special concert in Evansville, Seaton’s hometown.

“I knew I wanted to do something memorable for that evening,” Seaton said on the website. “But I never dreamed it would evolve into a group that people would be asking to see.”

Though the band members share a common interest in music, they have  taken diverse individual paths that have now converged.

“All of the guys have a different story and come from different backgrounds and places,” said Hitchcock, according to the website. “That’s why when we decided to make it official, the name ‘Union Street’ was chosen. We feel the name really encompasses where we are in our musical careers. We have all come together as a Union and are now traveling down a musical street together.”
