Church to host musical celebration


Grace Community Church, at 401 W. Springhill Drive, will host a musical celebration of the history of Christian music in the USA at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. A variety of instruments will be used, including a banjo. Flavors of music will include bluegrass and Appalachian styles as well as early American. The celebration is casual dress.

‘Legacy Journey’


“The Legacy Journey,” a seven-week follow-up class to Dave Ramsey’s popular program, “Financial Peace University,” will take place at Maryland Community Church, at 4700 S. Indiana 46. Sessions will begin at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 3.

The program is taught on DVD by Dave Ramsey. It shows families and individuals what to do once they have control of their finances, helping them navigate their way through building wealth so they are able to leave a lasting legacy. Lesson topics include debunking myths about wealth, investing, contentment and how to live to leave a legacy. Call 812-234-7100 to register.
