New church having revival

TERRE HAUTE — A new church is getting started in Farmersburg.

The Independent Nazarene Church at 422 W. Cyrus St. started conducting revival services Jan. 2 and will continue a week-long revival through Sunday.

“Anybody is welcome, whether they are Christian or non-Christian,” said pastor Glendon Stroud, who has organized the church.

Stroud began making renovations to the church building over the summer. A long-vacant house of worship, the building needed a lot of repairs, he said.

“I’ve done some massive repairs,” Stroud said. “The Lord has provided all that’s here.”

Revival services start at 7 p.m. today and at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Rev. Marc Dodrill of the International Conservative Holiness Association general board is the evangelist for this week’s services.

“We have special music every night,” Stroud said. Anyone able to play a musical instrument is invited to bring it to the revival.
