TERRE HAUTE —
Author and speaker Marla Alupoaicei will sign copies of her new book “Prayer Warrior Mom” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, in The Open Door Christian Bookstore at 3125 S. Third Place, behind Honey Creek Mall.
Alupoaicei writes on her website that today’s Christian moms want to be the parents God intended. They desire to pray boldly and stand in the gap for their kids. But many mothers haven’t been equipped with the prayer skills, scriptural knowledge, and practical strategies to fight the spiritual battle for themselves and their children.
In “Prayer Warrior Mom,” the Texas wife and mother of two children invites readers to walk with her through 15 life-transforming principles that will empower them to effectively intercede for their children. “Learn to cultivate your own attitude of gratitude, pray Scripture, be persistent, pray with power and authority, be your children’s #1 advocate, hear God’s voice above the noise of daily life, and much more,” Alupoaicei says.
Alupoaicei holds a bachelor of arts degree in English and communications from Purdue University and a master of theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. She’s involved with a variety of professional speaking and writing organizations, including the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association, Christian Women in Media, The Frisco Writer’s Group, and The Writer’s View.
Alupoaicei has a heart for mentoring women and mothers in particular, her website states. She has served as a mentor to students at Dallas Theological Seminary. In addition, she has written for the website www.bible.org, where she served as a guest blogger on the women’s Tapestry blog.
Alupoaicei says she is actively involved in MOPS International. She serves on the steering committee as the speaker coordinator for her MOPS group in Frisco, Texas. She also enjoys speaking for MOPS groups and other organizations.
