Covenant Cooperative Ministry to give free Easter candy

Covenant Cooperative Ministry in Terre Haute will distribute free Easter candy to low-income families in Vigo County on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon in the ministry at 122 S. 101⁄2 St. CCM is able to offer the free candy because of a generous donation to the ministry.

“Easter is truly the most special holiday for Christians as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and we remember how God so loved us that He gave his only son to us and Jesus then gave his life to save all who would accept Him as Savior,” said Rose Aycock, CCM executive director.

“Easter reminds us of the hope we have in Jesus Christ and we all need hope. Giving Easter baskets filled with candy has become a modern way to celebrate with our children and CCM is happy to offer candy to those who may need help,” she added.

Applicants will need a picture ID and current utility bill to qualify.

Only one person in each household may qualify. Supplies are limited.
