Luncheon Series to begin Wednesday
The Campus and Community Luncheon Series has announced its fall schedule.
Luncheons are noon to 1 p.m. in United Campus Ministries, 321 N. Seventh St. The planning committee includes Phred Cain, Lant Davis, Jack Diel, Roy Geib, Margaret Moga and Ed Warner.

Oct. 22: Spiritually Informed Voting featuring the Rev. Lant Davis, senior pastor, Central Presbyterian Church
Oct. 29: Spirituality in the Workplace featuring Robert Baesler, owner of Baesler’s Market
Brazil
House of HOPE benefit set Oct. 11
A benefit for the House of HOPE is noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at House of HOPE, 5525 W. U.S. 40, four miles west of Brazil.
The event features live bands Star Cross and On Purpose. A bike show includes the Unchained Gang Motorcycle Ministry.
The cookout concession is by the House of HOPE. Everyone is welcome.

Casey, Ill.
Sonshiners Quartet to perform Oct. 12
The Sonshiners Quartet will be in concert at 10 a.m. Oct. 12 in the First Christian Church of Casey.
The church is at 200 S.E. Eighth St.
In 2003, the Sonshiners experienced national radio play recognition for their single release “All Aboard” from their “Tried and True” album.
In February 2004, the quartet charted at No. 91 with “All Aboard” in the Singing News. In September 2006, the Sonshiners Quartet charted No. 69 with the single release “One of These Days” from their “Safe Harbor” project.
In 2007, they hit the national market with two radio releases, “I Get Happy” and “I am With you Always” from the “Get Happy” project and then in January 2008, “Turn It Up” was released from their most recent project “Just Stand.”
No tickets are needed for this concert although a free-will offering will be received.
