RONN MOTT: You’re kidding me!

---- — No one among our founding fathers would have ever dreamed that a minority of one political party would hold the entire nation hostage, then have the audacity to say they’re doing it for the people. It’s the most stupid political action I have ever seen.

Even the Republicans call the 60-70 Tea Party members “The No Caucus,” because they say no to everything. This group is not a “party.” They haven’t the courage to form an actual political party where their ideology and ideas stand alone for voters to vote for, or against. They often refer to themselves (nobody has ever called them this) as patriots. It is laughable because they need to hide behind the Republican national reputation.

They blame everybody, including the President, for bringing down the government. I’ll tell you, America, hold on to your wallets, hold on to your freedom, because these people are being bank-rolled by the meanest politicians since the guards at the concentration camps in World War II.

And what is it that they want? They want a one-party system, no liberals need apply, and that’s what they’re working toward. And since the tea party participants haven’t the courage to stand alone in this political mess, and since the Republicans haven’t the courage to tell them they’re wrong, it falls to the rest of us with some semblance of sanity to do so.

They will stand up in a matter of weeks, or maybe months, and say their actions have brought the President to the bargaining table. To bargain about what? These fools are burning down the house they tell you they are saving. Look around, America, your pension and your children’s hope for a government driven with sanity are flying out the window. And it is the problem caused by Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and all of his cohorts in the Republican-controlled House.

The sad, sorry truth of the matter is there’s probably more of this ignorance yet to be witnessed.

You can’t say I haven’t told you so.
