TERRE HAUTE —
I read the letters on the opinion page daily and I find an unusual silence from your liberal progressive contributors lately. Could it be because they don’t have anything to expound upon? Well, maybe I can give them some material.
First of all, several reasons why Attorney General Eric Holder should resign. He has been the center of several controversies over the years. His pardoning of Mark Rich, his defense of terrorists in civilian courts, his refusal to prosecute the New Black Panther Party on voter-intimidation charges in Philadelphia, the Fast and Furious scandal with contempt of Congress charges and President Obama bailing him out by claiming executive privilege preventing Congress from obtaining the truth in the death of a border agent, and now the targeting of reporters, especially Jim Rosen of Fox News and then misleading Congress again, perhaps even perjuring himself in the process. Where is the outrage coming from your progressive contributors? It’s time for Mr. Holder to resign or the president should fire him.
While I am at it let me get a few other things off my chest. The IRS scandals, targeting conservative groups from obtaining their tax-exempt status. Claiming it was the fault of a couple of rogue agents in their Cincinnati office. High ranking officials taking the Fifth when testifying before Congress, the smugness of the answers when they do talk, visiting the White House 161 times. Yet President Obama’s brother applies for the same tax status and his is approved in six weeks and backdated to the time his application was received. There is something seriously wrong with the direction this country is going. The IRS, the same people in charge of enforcing Obamacare, are you kidding me?
Lastly, the appointment of Susan Rice to the position of National Security Advisor. The same Susan Rice who pushed the video as the reason for the killing of Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans in Benghazi. Only in this administration do you reward for lying and covering up for your boss.
The sad thing about the whole mess is when the president comes out and expects the American people to believe him when he says, well, I didn’t know a thing about it, I only found out about it in from news accounts. This man is a complete liar or the most incompetent president in the history of the United States.
Whatever happened to his promise of having the most transparent presidency ever?
