She enjoyed dining out with family and friends especially the Saturday morning breakfasts. She had a strong faith in the Lord and looked forward to a weekly Bible Study with Sharon Gallman of North Carolina. She will be sorely missed by those she leaves behind.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethesda Memorial Park, with the Rev. Paul Shelton officiating. Friends are welcome to join the family at the funeral home Thursday morning for a procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:45 a.m. The family would like to give a special thank you to Starla Jackson and Elaine Ball, the ARC of Vigo County, VistaCare Hospice, and Davis Gardens Health Care Center, who have all helped the family through these difficult times. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to either the Joan Pruiett Memorial Fund, for her son Bruce Pruiett, at any First Financial Bank location, or with envelopes available at the funeral home; or to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, with envelopes also available in the funeral home.
